Multi-Market Interface

The ION.NET Interface is a desktop application based on the Microsoft .NET architecture that allows traders to operate in multiple Dealer-to-Dealer (D2D) and Dealer-to-Customer (D2C) markets. All markets connected using MarketView can be accessed using the ION.NET. The ION.NET supports trading for Cash, Future, Swaps, and Repo products. The layout of the ION.NET is highly configurable and allows each user to customize the look of the application using a rich set of preferences and docking of windows.

Automated Trading Tools

A number of automated tools have been designed to capitalize on activity in fast moving markets. The Auto-Hedger is a highly-configurable tool that can automatically submit hedges to a specified market on receipt of a trade notification from any Cash (D2D or D2C) or Derivatives market. The Multi-Market Spread Trading Tool (MMS) is a multi-asset, multi-market spreading tool which allows traders to create strategies that can be traded with configurable risk management profiles.

Market-Making
Tools are available to manage market pricing obligations. The Quote Editor can be used to easily switch quotes on or off, edit quotes, apply skew factors to quotes, and other similar tasks. The Quote Meter helps to maintain market-making obligations by displaying quoting compliance information for all markets that are configured to measure it. The Security Viewer displays instruments and corresponding market data across one or more markets. The trader can switch multiple quotes on or off at the same time.

Straight Through Processing (STP)
variety of components can be used to formulate a solution for seamlessly integrating post trading activity into downstream systems.

Market Connectivity
More than 80 markets are already integrated in the ION solution. Several asset classes are covered, including Governments, Corporate, Repos, Swaps, and Derivatives. Features can vary from market to market but usually include STP, Market Data, and Trading.

Auto-Negotiation
A rich set negotiation and routing rules can be configured to fully support the Auto-Negotiation of RFQs. An RFQ blotter is also available for monitoring both active and inactive inquiries.

Flow Analysis
The Trade Flow Analysis (TFA) Tool allows a trader or sales person to capture and consolidate real-time trading activity from different markets. It is a powerful monitoring and reporting tool that allows trading activity to be analyzed from many different angles, adding value to the business.

Virtual Market
The Virtual Market (VM) Tool allows users to view the combined and aggregated order books of the securities traded on any market that is integrated within the MarketView platform. The Virtual Market for Quoting (VMQ) facility allows traders to simultaneously manage the distribution of two-way prices or quantities for multiple securities across different D2D and D2C trading platforms. The VMQ reduces the effort needed to maintain quotes and ensures instruments are priced consistently across markets.
