Transparency

One of the most important principles ION is enforcing is to allow users to look into components so that their operations can be tracked, analyzed, and monitored by users independently

Analyzing Market Events
When we need to analyze
the details of market events deeply, such as, for example, order management, market data, trading, and RFQs, log files are used to record detailed activities performed by ION components. These log files can then be interpreted using the Explorer Tool, which provides a user friendly interface to select and filter through different tools, events, traders, instruments, and so on, to have a customized list of suitable events for analysis and reporting purposes.

Monitoring Performance
Performance statistics for components and connections are distributed across the platform and collected by the PerfMeter Tool for graphical display and notification of events such as the breaching of user-defined thresholds for any of the hundreds of performance indicators available.

Additional performance statistics are gathered from components logs in real time. These include, for example, the market delays for each quote message sent to the market.

The PerfMeter Tool allows users to view real-time statistics in interactive time graphs or in tabular format, then store statistics in a permanent database and perform historical comparative analysis.
