CLIENTSERVICES
Position: customer support
Overview: Customer Support professionals are responsible for helping ION´s customers use the solution. Support is provided by phone, e-mail, or on-site. Candidates must be able to talk to clients articulately and effectively following standard procedures to address issues quickly and successfully. They will also support the development team in producing documentation for new components, testing new product versions and training clients on the solution.
Location:
Qualifications: Excellent communications skills, ability to work under pressure and to deadline are prerequisites. IT qualifications (preferably a University degree) are required, as well as basic UNIX and understanding of TCP/IP networks. At least 2 years experience in the following areas is required:
- A Helpdesk, technical/financial environment, 1st or 2nd level support
QA / SOFTWARE TESTING
Position: tester
Overview: This is a challenging position which includes developing, maintaining and executing test plans, as well as, carrying out functional and regression testing on all of ION´s products.
Qualifications: Six months exposure to testing software/Web applications and preparing test scripts in a commercial environment, ideally in financial markets (bonds and derivatives) and/or in a graduate placement. Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and UNIX. Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT
Position: software engineer
Overview: The development team consists of a group of dynamic, highly skilled professionals, with responsibility for product development and enhancement. We are looking for people who are self-motivated and self-sufficient with flexible and questioning approach. Strong desire to problem solve, have an inquisitive nature, persistent and reliable and pay meticulous attention to detail. Should also have interpersonal skills.
Qualifications: Good quality degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or in a numerate discipline. Knowledge of three of C, C++, Java, C#, CORBA, COM, XML as well as extensive Windows and UNIX OS expertise are essential. English, previous experience in a development position and willingness to travel are preferable.

Qualifications: Good quality degree in Computer Science or a mathematical subject, or equivalent experience. Communication skills, analytical skills, and organization, planning and time management skills.
Willingness to travel.
Essential technical skills:
- Languages: 4 years C/C++ experience in developing and supporting
enterprise level software, 2 years Java
- Database: MS-SQL Server (or another SQL), Oracle, or DB2
- Application server: Tomcat / Catalina, JBoss
- OS: Linux, Windows, (iSeries a plus)
- Other: XML, XSL, HTML, ASP, JavaScript
Knowledge of any of the following is an advantage:
- VB6 or VB.NET, IIS, COM+
Position: product performance analyst
Overview: The product performance professionals are responsible for benchmarking our suite of products, analyzing product performance and developing reproducible test suites, benchmarking tools & test beds to evolve methods for achieving even higher levels of software performance.
Location: New Delhi
Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science with excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. Knowledge of Tcl, Awk, Java, C, C++ as well as extensive and in-depth knowladge of Windows and UNIX operating systems are essential. Software engineering and testing automation experience is a plus.
